It’s National Donut Day once again, which means it’s your chance to score a free donut at shops in the area. After talking with a manager at my local Honey Dew, I’d like to encourage you to shop local whenever possible. He told me that a bag of coffee beans usually costs around $100. This week, it cost him $140. He also told me that workers are hard to come by, which is the case in so many industries. So, instead of running on that international chain that’s distancing itself from its donuts, check out Honey Dew or Ma’s Donuts or Heav’nly Donuts or Sip N Dip. You get the picture.
